Please be advised that Angolan customs requirements for Luanda & Soyo have been restructured requiring cargo manifests to be submitted in both English & Portuguese languages. As cargo manifests contain information provided solely by Shippers it is our hope that suppliers will assist in this transition by providing documentation that contains both required translations. If Shippers are unable to provide both translations in their documentation UAL will accommodate by providing, to the best of our ability, the translation for the cargo manifest. Please note that UAL will not be responsible for any delays, fines or losses that are a result of inconsistencies or mistranslations of documentation. We appreciate any/all efforts to accommodate these new requirements and greatly value your continued support of UAL.

On Saturday May 4th the MV UAL Texas has been launched at shipyard Bodewes in Hoogezand.

After the test voyage the MV UAL Texas will be christened by Ms. Suzanne den Boef (granddaughter of Mr. Roger Jungblut, Owner) in Rotterdam on June 21st.

The UAL Texas (a sister vessel of the UAL Houston) was built in The Netherlands and is special because of the application of the Groot Cross-Bow® an innovative bow shape with wave piercing abilities. Because of the innovative bow shape the vessel will have less slamming and will easier maintain its speed comparing to more conventional bow shapes with bow flare. Because of this, energy will be saved and therefore less fuel oil will be burned, which results in reduction of the CO2 output.

Universal Africa Lines has been offering a regular liner service into West Africa from Europe, USA and South Africa for over 30 years. For more information please contact our office.

After the test voyage she will be added to the current fleet of modern, multi-purpose geared vessels of Universal Africa Lines on December 8th.

The UAL Houston (a big sister vessel of the UAL Africa and UAL Bodewes) was built in The Netherlands and is special because of the application of the Groot Cross-Bow® an innovative bow shape with wave piercing abilities. Because of the innovative bow shape the vessel will have less slamming and will easier maintain its speed comparing to more conventional bow shapes with bow flare.
